Here's what you can look forward to for the end of the year:

Long time, no update! I've been swamped here at home and Christmas Hours have ruined my non-work schedule by basically eating it all up, but tomorrow-ish (thursday), I'll be launching these fine beauties:

New Years With Florence!

  • Tear It Out And Just Restart - Shimmery pinkish color with red-gold flakies and iridescent glitters
  • What Stays and What Fades Away - An apricot-y gold with gold and red-gold flakies and iridescent glitters
  • Can You Feel It On Me Love - A really warm buff-color with gold flakies and iridescent glitters
The start of Firefly Line (pt 2)
  • Don't Call Me A Whore - A gorgeous deep true red with lots of gold sparkle
  • I Love My Captain - A sweet rosy pink like a floofy party dress with gold and copper shimmer
The Start of the Glitter Support System line for showing off all your fav glitters:
  • Arclight - A frosty bright white
  • Lampblack - A soft sooty black
  • Atlas's Shoulders - A base coat to hold up all that glitter and make it easier to get off
  • Thirst Quencher - A top coat to smooth out all the glitters like you see nail blogger do
And a few special items for:
  • A few geeky science-nerd firsts
  • The start of the Tumblr Line
  • Maybe a few others, if I have the time to concoct them.
Stay tuned! I'll have pictures once they're up, and I'll eventually have more inspiration boards!

I'll be listing the Holiday and Hobbit Lines tonight or early tomorrow!

Here's a peek:
 The Holiday Line:

  • Frosty
  • Starry
  • Hearthfires
  • Evergreens
  • And a bonus made from all the glitters of the other four called Holiday Excess!
I almost changed Hearthfires and Evergreens, but after wearing them and living with them, I decided that I like that they're a little subtler than Frosty and Starry. Those two are bling-tastic and the picture hardly does any justice to their shininess!

The Hobbit Line:

  • The Shire (thumb)
  • The Dwarves (ring finger)
  • The Dragon (middle finger)
  • The Precious (pointer)
I love these. Again, my crappy camera doesn't do justice; Shire practically glows, and Precious is a fabulous molten-gold color that I just adore.

The'll be in the shop soon, so be sure to check them out! They'll be introductory-priced at $7 until right after New Years and the Hobbit Premier respectively, when they then go up to the full price of $9 and other lines will come out!

This month, I still have two custom colors to show you, probably also this week, and then, after a respectable time, I'll show you what the first two exclusive colors for the Polish of the Month Club looked like!*

Stay tuned!

*If you sign up before the fifteenth (tomorrow), you can still get the November colors, so move fast!

All the supplies for the Christmas and Hobbit Lines are in!

I'm going to try to squeeze in a little formulating today, if my schedule allows between school catch-up, finalizing this crazy-long move we've been going through, and not dying of the stress. If not, it'll probably be early in the week next week. Then I'll have new colors posted as soon as I can!

For reference, here's what I have planned:

Christmas / Holiday Line:
Four glitterbombs -

  • Hearthfires - Multiple sizes of red glitter in a red base, probably with my beloved red or gold* highlights
  • Evergreens - Multiple sizes of green glitter in a green base, with green highlights
  • Frosty - Multiple sizes of silver glitter in a silvery base
  • Starry - Multiple sizes of gold glitter in a gold base
Hobbit Line**:
  • The Shire: Fresh, grassy green with lake and wildflower glitter
  • The Dragon: Smoky grey-black with fiery glitter
  • The Steel: Dwarven steel grey with plate-maile glitter
  • The Precious: Bright gold with a little sinister glow in it
Stay tuned! I'll have inspiration collages up for them once I've finalized the colors, and I'll let you know when I post them in the shop!

*The gold shine especially should just be my calling card, how you know it's my polish!
**This sounds like a map-thing: Beyond the Hobbit Line, you'll find the lands inhabited by halflings.

Update on the Christmas and Hobbit colors, and the future

The stuff is on order and will hopefully be here on time, and even if I'm late on the Hobbit (it comes out sooner than I thought!), I'm putting it up.

The Hobbit:

  • Leaving the Shire - green
  • Dwarven Maile - steel grey
  • Shadow of the Dragon - smoke and fire
  • The Precious - darkened gold
The Christmas Line is unnamed as yet, but will be glitterbombs to glam up the holiday the way you should!

I've decided that for the New Years colors, I want to do a line based on Florence + The Machine songs--deep, rich shades with glitter, but probably not glitterbombs, and maybe flakies, depending on how I can get them.

Then, sometime in time for mid January, I'm aiming to do some rich, dark Downton Abbey colors. I mentioned that before, but I really want to do them!

Anything you guys would like to see?

October and November nail polish premiers

It's almost October! I've launched the Halloween Line and the Firefly Line already, and I'm planning what'll come out next month. So far, barring sudden changes in the muse, shipping or supplies, here's what I've got:

  • Early on: Doctor Who Line: Tardis, Control Room, Console, Time Vortex
  • Later: Thanksgiving: Probably named after classic parts of the Thanksgiving dinner, or else super-jewel-toned harvest colors. Maybe both, if I can get the supplies.
  • Possibles: Likely some additions to the Halloween line--probably opaque versions of the current sheers; if they're up in the first week or so, it's a go.
  • Official Opening Day / Grand Opening color. Undecided on actual color, but it'll have lots of celebratory glitter!
In November, I'm looking at:
  • Commemorative colors for my Sister and my Niece's birthdays, and maybe my Dad's
  • The first of the Christmas / Winter Holiday colors, with more the closer to Christmas we get, and then toward the end, the New Years Glitter Bombs
  • Somewhere around the middle, The Hobbit
  • If there's still time, the first of the Downton Abbey classy post-Victorian colors (if not, this'll probably wait until January, because December will be busy!)
Stay tuned for the December launches, news and release announcements!

nanowrimo 09 spillover

Creativity! You've returned!

Two nights ago, I found alot of adorable embroidery patterns, and I'm going to start a new project today if it kills me: probably the one with the big fancy quill that says "Write". I'll frame it and put is somewhere on my desk or in my room where I can see it clearly and frequently, and then I'll start the embroideries that will be this year's Aveomas presents. So don't expect specifics until after they've been gifted.

And I want to make funny little samplers with random rules to place around the house. I need to get to IKEA just to get my hands on cheap, sturdy picture frames, I think... I wish I would have thought of this before I went last time; I could have picked them all up now.
