I'm working on building up the funds for the bottles for the rest of the year, and I've been thinking a lot about how I formulate colors. Because I have a lot of new lines I want to launch, and that means I've been doing a lot of formulating.
See, here's what I like in polishes:
- I like sort of translucent colors.
- I like to be able to see all the layers of glitter.
- I like shimmer that doesn't flatten the color.
- I like scattered glitter so much more than glitterbombs, so when I make a glitterbomb, it's a Big Deal.
- I am still looking for the perfect way to make green. Green is so problematic.
- I like unexpected combinations.
- I like long-wear without staining.
- I like smooth surfaces.
- I like the geekiness to be obvious--when you look at something, you can tell that it's for what I name it after.
What do you like in a polish?
Somewhere around Mid November, I'll be launching:
- Thor 2
- Lannisters
- Carl Sagan
- Sleepy Hollow
- November's Full Moon color
- a NaNoWriMo color
And possibly some more. I always come up with other things that aren't on the Schedule when I actually sit down and work!
